BEGIN HERE.
You bring your damaged vehicle to Jack Giambalvo Collision Center
You should discuss your rental options at this time.
STEP 1: THE ESTIMATE
Our estimator will inspect your vehicle and begin to document the damage in the form of an estimate or you may already have an estimate prepared by your insurance company. As is it your vehicle, it is your responsibility to make sure your insurance company has either approved our estimate or is paying the claim based on theirs.
STEP 2: REPAIR AUTHORIZATION
Upon receiving approval we will order the necessary parts to begin the repairs. On some vehicles parts delivery may take two to three days or longer in some cases. You will be notified of any abnormal parts delays.
We’ll contact you at this stage in the process
STEP 3: DISASSEMBLY
Your car will then be assigned to a technician. They will disassemble the car and review the estimate with the service writer. Frequently additional hidden damage is found. We will then prepare a supplemental estimate. This estimate must be submitted to and approved by whoever is paying for the damages. The amount of time your repairs are delayed during this step depends greatly on your insurance company.
STEP 4: PARTS ORDERING
Once approval is given any supplemental parts needed, will be ordered. We can now continue with the body portion of the repairs.
We’ll contact you at this stage in the process
STEP 5: PAINT
After the body portion is complete, your vehicle will move into the paint department. Most cars are in the paint department about two days.
STEP 6: PAYMENT CONFIRMATION
You will receive a call at this point from your service writer to confirm any payments that will be due when your car is finished.
We’ll contact you at this stage in the process
STEP 7: FINAL ASSEMBLY
Your car will then return to the body department to begin final assembly. Your car will also be cleaned to pre-accident condition.
STEP 8: FINAL QUALITY CHECK
A final quality check will be done at this time. Also, a road test, if applicable, will be performed.
